Add Printers and IPs to Printix

Sign into Pintix. To do that make sure Printix is installed on your computer. If it is not installed got to https://nucor.printix.net/download/#/client Once it is installed click the carrot in the bottom right of your computer screen on the taskbar. Find the Printix icon and right click on it. Then click "Open Printix Administrator"
Once on the sign in page click "Sign in with Microsoft". Then click "Nucor" and sign in with your Nucor Credientials.

Editing an Existing Printer

Once the screen loads it will give you a list of printers. You can search for a specific printer several ways. I have found when looking the easiest way for me is to search by the IP address. In the search bar put in the IP address of the printer you are looking for.

Once you find the printer you are looking for click on the printer name. For example I searched for 10.64.150.15

On this next screen make sure you are on the "Setup" tab at the top of the screen in the box under where it says "Printer Name" Click on the pencil

A new window will pop-up in there delete the printer name that is currently there. With the new name it is this scheme CHI- (building or floor) - (where is it located) space (put in MFP if it's an MFP printer) then a (three digit letter you get that from the top of the screen under where it says "Printer Properties" it is the three capital letters before the printer model.)

Example- CHI- 1st Floor- IT printer (CMO)

then you will want to copy what you just typed in the Printer name box then click "Save"

A new window will pop-up in the box under "Enter print Queue name" paste the information you copied from before the "Printer Name" then press "Confirm"

After that you are done. Repeat these steps if you have more than one printer to rename.

Add A Printer to Printix

On the left side of the screen click the the carrot next to the location. For us it is "CHI' then click the drop down "CHI" with the location symbol next to it.

In the middle of the screen click the location of where the printer is . This Example we will be using Arthur, IL

In this new pop-up in the box below where is says "Printer address" put in the IP address of the printer you want to add the click "add printer"

After you add the printer go back to the top of the page and follow the instructions for

So you can name it correctly in the system
