AccountMate Installation On each AccountMate User’s workstation, map L:\ drive to the AccountMate Server. Specifically, map L:\ to: \\Psvaccountmate\ms1202\amsql Once that connection is secure, create a shortcut of amsql.exe and put it on the User’s Desktop. From there, retitle it something like “AccountMate Version 12”. On each workstation, run the AccountMate Version 12.2 Installer (the folder is titled MS1202 – there is a normal folder and a compressed folder…you can use either one). *The installer itself is the setup.exe application in the MS1202 folder. You’ll find the Installer folder here: \\Psvaccountmate\ms1202\Installation_Files NOTE: You must run the Installer as Administrator NOTE 2: Since you are simply installing the RunTime Files, the Compact installation option is the one you want: NOTE 3: When it comes to errors during the Installation of the RunTime Files, most of the time it’ll be that that the installation gets 99% of the way through and then the screen hangs endlessly. In those cases, I wait for about 10-12 minutes before terminating the Installer. From there, I’ll reboot the person’s workstation and then try again. If the problem persists, or you run into any other kind of error message during this process, here are the official next step instructions directly from AccountMate Support: Install the latest Windows update (even the optional updates). Do not skip this step. Disable Windows User Account Control (set it to Never Notify). Do not skip this step. You may enable this again after successfully reinstalling the runtime files. Reboot the machine. Do not skip this step. Log in to the machine as an administrator Install the RunTime Files Be sure to run the AccountMate installer as an administrator (right-click on setup.exe; then, select the Run as administrator option). Be sure to run the installer locally (not over the network).
